An arts critic for AU Review, and arts administrator for various organisations, university lecturer, tutor and popular music PhD – these days Penny works for The Tax Institute where she is the learning technology coordinator. We’ve known Penny since the ‘before times’ (before kids) and when she was also the treasurer of IASPM ANZ – the Australia/New Zealand Association for the Study of Popular music. Ben Lee and Georgia Maq – Music Mothers and Others
Our guests today are Ben Lee and Georgia Maq, who are about to embark on their “Two Most Annoying People You Love Tour” around Australia. If you know Georgia from Camp Cope but don't know Ben then do a deep dive – and vice versa if you're a Ben fan but are new to Georgia's solo stuff in particular. Annoying fans from the nineties, naughties and today with their stubbornly brilliant lyrics and melt the hardest of hearts harmonies, coming together means joining different generations and approaches to bloody good Aussie music. We’re thrilled to have them here, telling us about what they do and how the industry could do it better. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
