Ruth Barratt-Peacock

Dr Ruth Barratt-Peacock is a musicologist and literary studies scholar. She has published widely in the areas of childhood studies, television, popular music and East Asian popular culture. She is the recipient of a Walter Benjamin grant for research on the social construction of childhood in metal music funded by the German Research Foundation in cooperation with the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. Her most recent papers appear in English: Journal of the English Society Oxford, East Asian Journal of Popular Culture, Australasian Journal of Popular Culture and Jeunesse: Young People, Texts, Cultures and Metal Music Studies.
